| Online light is blinking | The printer is out of media. | Insert media into the paper feed slot. If the printer is using a sheet feeder do the
following:
Load media into the sheet feeder. Press the Online button to continue printing. If media is already loaded in the sheet feeder do the following: Make sure that the media is properly loaded. Press the pressure plate release button. Press the Online button to continue printing. |
| Busy light is blinking and the printer will not print. | Press and hold the LF or FF button to print and eject the page. | |
| Change Cartridge light is blinking; print cartridge cradle has moved to the center of the printer. | Check that a recommended print cartridge is installed. Check to see if the printer is attempting to print a document in black ink where a color cartridge is installed in the place of a black cartridge, or vice versa. The electrical contacts on the print cartridge or the print cartridge cradle may be dirty. Do the following to clean the
contacts:
Remove the print cartridge from the printer. Clean the contacts on the print cartridge cradle with a cotton swab lightly moistened with water. Clean the contacts on the print cartridge with a cotton swab lightly moistened with water. Do not wipe the ink nozzles on the bottom of the print cartridge. Reinstall the ink cartridge. |

| Busy and Online lights are blinking | Media is jammed in the printer. | Clear the media jam by following these
steps:
Turn off the printer (If using the sheetfeeder, rotate the printer and the in tray until the printer is vertical). Press down on the pressure plate to release the paper from the sheet feeder. Remove the printer from the sheet feeder. The paper should slide out of the sheet feeder with the printer. Open the access door. Be careful not to touch the wheels on the access door. Pull the sheet of paper forward while pressing the paper release button. Make sure all paper is removed from the printer. Close the access door, and turn on the printer. If the Busy and Online lights still blink, check that all paper was removed from the paper path. |
| Draft light is blinking alternately with all other lights. | Turn off the printer, and open the access door. Remove any object blocking the movement of the print cartridge cradle. Check that paper is properly loaded into the in tray if using the sheetfeeder. Turn the printer on, and try again. Do not attempt to manually move the cradle if it is at the home position at the right side of the printer. This could damage the cradle mechanism. If the print cartridge cradle is in the home position, and no object is blocking its path, the automatic cradle lock may not have been released. | |

Press the Power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, unplug the power adapter, and remove the battery pack. Plug in the power adapter, and turn on the printer. | |

Push the paper release lever (located on the sheet feeder) down and reposition the paper. Push the paper release lever up and press the Paper Feed button to continue printing. |
| The Change Cartridge light is the only blinking light. | The printer is waiting for you to change the print cartridge. | Install a print cartridge. |
| The Charge light is blinking, and the Power light is on. | The battery charge level is low. | Connect the power adapter to charge the battery pack. |
| The Charge light blinks alternately with the other lights. | There is a problem with the battery. | Discharge the battery pack completely and charge it again. Make sure that you have installed a recommended battery pack. Make sure that the battery pack is properly seated in the battery compartment. Clean the battery pack contacts. If the problem persists, replace the battery pack. |
| All four printer lights are blinking at the same time. | There is a problem with the printer. | Turn the printer off and then turn it on again. If the lights still blink, press and hold the Paper Feed button and locate the light pattern shown in the following table. |

below:
Disconnect the power from the printer by unplugging the power cord from the side of the printer. Move the print cartridge cradle away from the right side of the printer. Locate the capping station inside the printer on the right side. Manually rotate the capping station left and right until the rectangular rubber cap is facing up. Ensure that the black pen is installed in the printer. Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer on. If all the lights continue flashing, the above steps may be repeated. If the error conditions cannot be cleared, the printer will need service. |
